Civic Theatre

Construction of the Civic Theatre began in the late-1930’s, but was interrupted due to World War II and a shortage of building materials. It was completed and opened in the late-1950’s. It had a short life having been closed by 1968.

It was converted into a Soldiers Club, and later became a retail store for B & M Electrical. This was followed by a Woolworth’s liquor store, and today it is in retail use.
