Sept 1967 Photo taken by James Martin and also credited to SFMemory.org/sfm005-10070. One month later the Strand and Embassy marquees would be removed and the Embassy’s new flat marquee and blade to be placed against the front of the building. This was to allow pile drivers to pound the Civic Center station side wall supports into place.
