A closer address (at least for Google) is 227 Svoboda Ln, La Grange, TX. The drive-in sat on the west side of the city, just south of HWY 71.

The faint remnants of ramps from the old drive-in remained until 2014, but today a vet clinic sits on the property and there is no indication remaining of the drive-in.

The screen was toppled by hurricane Carla in 1961. The drive-in was abandoned until 1968 when the property was purchased by the Fayette County Veterinary Clinic which is still located at 227 Svoboda Lane today.

The Veterinary incorporated the old concession building as part of his business.

Boxoffice, Oct. 23, 1961: “A picture in the LaGrange Journel shows what was left of the Sky-Vu Drive-In after Carla visited there. The tower was a pile of lumber almost flat on the ground.”
