Located in Dundalk, County Louth. The Oriel Cinema was opened by Joe Stanley, a newspaper tycoon, in the Old Foresters’ Hall in 1919. It was later fitted with a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system and had around 300 seats. It is last listed in the 1952 edition of the Kine Year Book although it could have closed much earlier than this as by now there were three other cinemas in the town.
