Located in Claremorris, County Mayo. The Town Hall screened films during the 1930’s and 1940’s. It had a capacity for around 300 at the time and was equipped with a British Thomson-Houston(BTH) sound system.
A new Town Hall was opened in 1969. It suffered bomb damage in 1972 due to ‘The Troubles’. The Town Hall reopened in the mid-2010’s as a theatre and can accommodate between 200 and 600 seated in the main space according to the layout, and a further 100 in the studio space. It is equipped with a Martin sound system. There are no regular cinema presentations at the moment only plays, concerts and other events.

The current Town Hall which is used as a theatre opened in 1969. It was bombed during the troubles in 1972 though, which caused a great deal of damage. This must have been a replacement for an earlier Town Hall as mentioned in the above text.
