Oisin Ballroom

Located in Killorglin, County Kerry. Construction started in February 1938 and the building was due to be ready for Puck Fair that August. “Three Smart Girls” starring Binnie Barnes was the first film shown the following month. This is a different building to the Oisin Cinema which has a different entry on this site and films are unlikely to have continued after this one opened. The Oisin Ballroom closed in the late-1980’s and was demolished in 2005 for a bank to be built on the site.
