Cine Central

Located in the city centre. The Cine Royal was opened on 18th May 1912 with 1,200 seats. It was closed on 8th October 1938, reopening the following day as the 988 seat Cine Central with two old films: Fredric March in “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” 1931(El Hombre y el Monstrou) & William Powell in “One Way Passage"1932(Viage de Ida). It was closed on 30th July 1972 with Cantinflas in "El Bolero de Raquel” and Robert Taylor in “Quo Vadis?”.

It was demolished and the 4-screen Cines Aribau was built on the site in the mid to late-1990’s
