The Wick Theatre opened on April 1, 1940, and was operated by the Stout Theater chain. A news article indicates that construction work was being completed in the Harkness Building on 4th Street. The article indicates that with the opening of the theatre, patrons will have the opportunity to “attend a local show for the first time in many years”. The Wick Theatre was still open in 1956, but had closed by 1957.
