The Long Circuit opened the Port Theatre on W. Broad Street with Clark Gable in “Gone With the Wind” on February 5, 1941. The theatre was positioned as a sub-run discount house. Things didn’t go well and the theatre closed after a short run on November 9, 1944 with Dick Powell in “It Happened Tomorrow". The space was converted to an auto supply store.
