The Rio Theatre was opened by 1937. By 1943 it was operated by Long Theaters. It was still operated by them in 1952, but had been taken over by another operator by 1955 and was still open in 1957. It was closed in early-1964 and has since been demolished.

Located at 304 Main Street, the Rio Theatre was once part of the Long Theaters Circuit. Ads ceas after the Feb. 3, 1964 screenings but the theatre could well have soldiered on. However, it has since been demolished.
