Airdome

The 1912 Sanborn shows an airdome operating on the west side of the 200 block of Washington Avenue, just south of the alley. The address would have been an even number. On the 1909 map, this space has some small outbuildings on it.

Strangely, given the name, it is shown as an enclosed structure. It was a one-story wooden building, with a shallow lobby across the front, and one central entrance from this into the theatre space. It is possible that the roof of this space was open, but it is not noted.

This was long ago demolished, and even the alley has disappeared. The lot is partially occupied by a house.
