Opened as Bremerton’s first motion picture theatre in March 1907. Per Deborah Woolston, Kitsap Sun Staff — October 11, 2001: “The first of many movie theatres came to town in 1907. Built at First Street and Washington Avenue, the Pastime Theatre sucked up so much electricity to run its silent movie machinery that it blew out the local grid. The solution was to install its own generator”. It was still open in 1915, but had closed by 1926.
