Karina Filmtheater

Located in the Holderlinplatz district of the city centre. The Karina Filmtheater was opened in 1956. It was operated by Karina KG Jaensch & Dempel. The auditorium was designed by the Steegmuller Company. The seats were by Kamphoener. A CinemaScope screen was installed. The EX projectors were by Ernemann. The 4-channel stereophonic sound was by Zeiss Ikon and Ikovox speakers were installed.

The cinema was closed after 1971 and by 2008 it was in use as a church.
