Cineteca Matadero

A conversion of a former slaughterhouse which was built in the early-1900’s, by Spanish architects Churtichaga & Quadra-Salcedo. Opened in 2011, the Cinetaca Matadero is a Cinemathque screening arthouse movies and documentary films. The large auditorium with 224-seats is named Sala Azcona and the smaller auditorium with 129-seats is named Sala Plato. The building also contains a film studio, an archive and a terrace which is used for outdoor screenings.
