This small South Loop theater located on S. State Street near W. Harrison Street opened in 1914 as the New Paris Theater, and was later known as just the Paris Theater. The theater closed in 1958, but reopened three years later as the Gayety Paris, which closed again in 1963. Today, the site of the theater is occupied by the Jones College Prep high school.

The Paris Theatre looks like that it once sat on the spot where Jones High School stands to day in Chicago`s “South Loop”.
