Opened as Springwood Picture Theatre on 27th January 1923. Origanally open air, but gradually roofed in. Badly damaged by a fire in July 1930, but repaired. Rebuilt and renamed Roxy Theatre in 1936. Closed in circa 1960. Acquired in 1963 by the Springwood Youth Club. Later demolished(date unknown?). The site is now a health centre.
