The Chief Drive-In Theatre was Nocona’s only ozoner. It launched in 1950 and was operated by C.R. Bailey Jr. It lasted just over 20 years. It ended operations December 19, 1971 with Gregory Peck in “I Walk the Line”. The Chief Drive-In was demolished in June of 1972 to make way for the expansion of Nocona Boots factory.
