Atlantik Filmtheater

The Kaiser Kinematograph opened around 1909 with 300-seats. In 1922 it was re-named Eden Kino and was operated by Sedonie. In 1924 it was taken over by Mansbacher and was re-named Atlantik Filmtheater. Around 1933 a sound system was added. The cinema continued to operate throughout World War II, escaping any damage. However it was forced to close in 1945 when Allied Forces removed the projectors.

Around 1949 it was re-opened. New B 5 projectors by Bauer were installed. It was a rear-projection system. In 1997 the cinema was twinned with a capacity of 75 & 38-seats.

The Atlantik Filmtheater was closed in 2008 after screening movies for 99 years. It is now the Atlantik Casino
