Yukon’s popular theatre besides the Capri Theatre and the Star Theatre comes along with the Yukon Theatre. When the nearby Star Theatre closed in the mid-1920’s, the Yukon Theatre is under construction at the time, and opened its doors in 1927. Before Christmas 1929, the Yukon Theatre went into an all-talkies theatre.
On October 21, 1954, the Yukon Theatre installed CinemaScope with the first CinemaScope film played at the Yukon Theatre was MGM’s “Rose Marie”. The Yukon Theatre closed its doors after a 31-year operation in 1958.
