Passage Bioscoop

On April 3, 1919, a newly built cinema opened at 186 Nieuwendijk under the management of Herman Bollongino. The building was designed by the architects J. van Schaik and J.J. Carrot. In 1931 Abraham Tuschinski took over the cinema and started a major renovation that same year under the direction of the architect Jan Duiker.

This theatre was confiscated by the German occupiers, as were all other Tuschinski theaters. In 1945 Tuschinski Theaters took charge of the cinema again until its closure on September 3, 1959.
