The Rialto Theatre opened August 30, 1919, with novelist Rex Beach’s “The Girl From Outside”. The Daily Chronicle advertisement noted, “We offer it two weeks in advance of the Seattle showing”.

On April 4, 1924, the Chronical noted Twin City Theaters was being organized. They would control the Liberty, Grand, and Rialto theatres in Centralia and the St. Helens, Liberty, and Dream theatres in Chehalis.

Perhaps a casualty of the depression, it was last listed in Film Daily Year Book 1930 with 475 seats.

The Centralia Daily Chronical reported In 1950 the building was being demolished for a Safeway store to be built on the site.
