Hub Theatre

Located in the Sea Breeze section of Irondequoit, to the north of Rochester. Sea Breeze was famous for its amusement park. The address of the Hub Theatre was originally 4354 Culver Road, which today would be 4322 Culver Road. It was opened in the 1920’s and operated as a second run movie theatre until the 1950’s. It was operated by George W. Schmidt for most of its life. By the 1950’s it was operated by the same operator as the Empress Theatre, Rochester. It was demolished in 1956 and a gas station was built on the site which opened in late-1957.
