The Oak Theater opened in a building once housing the Oak Saloon. Mr. Snow opened with movies and illustrated songs on January 17, 1910. The Oak Theatre’s neighbor was the Oak Confectionery which also served as the theatre’s snack bar. The Oak Theatre closed with motion pictures on February 23, 1924 with the building sold to John Coburn who converted it for other retail purposes.
