Cinema Teatro Espanol

The Teatro Espanol was opened as a live theatre (there is one source stating it opened in 1916, another source states the opening as 1923). In 1940-1942 it was modified to the plans of architect Jose Miguel de la Quadra-Salcedo. Around 1950 it was converted into a cinema.

It was renovated in 2000 and it was home to the International Film School Festival Tetouan. It was closed in February 2015. It had reopened by early-2022.
