Rex Cinema

Located at 41 Rue Thiers (now renamed Avenue Rene Coty). Built on the site of a former hotel, which became a clothing store. The Rex Cinema was opened on September 2, 1939 with John Wayne in “Stagecoach”. The following day World War II began. It was designed by local Le Havre based architect Henri Daigue and was operated by Armand Chassin. It suffered some damage during World War II. The Rex Cinema was still open in 1952.
