Maxim Filmtheater

Located in the southeast Berlin district of Neukolln at the corner of Sonnenallee and Weichselstrasse. The Maxim Filmtheater was opened in 1951 as a single screen cinema. The architect was Hans Bielenberg (although some sources say it was Franz Neumann). It was operated by Fritz Miethe and Katharina Lorenz. The E X projectores were by Ernemann.

The Maxim Filmtheater was closed in 1980 and was converted into a supermarket. Soon after 2000 the building was demolished. A new Plus supermarket was operating on the site in 2008.
