Panorama Filmtheater II

Located in the Neukolln district east of the city at the corner of Gutschmidstrasse & Fritz-Reuter-Allee. The Panorama Filmtheater II was a modern styled cinema which was designed by architect Gerhard Fritsche, who also designed other Berlin cinemas such as the Zoo Palast, Maxim in the Tiergarten district, MGM Filmtheater and Panorama Filmtheater I.

The Panorama Filmtheater II was opened in 1959 and was operated by Fritz Seifert. Seating was provided on a single sloping floor, with a raised stepped section at the rear. It had a CinemaScope screen and 4-channel stereophonic sound. The E X projectors were by Ernemann. The seats were by Schroefer & Henzelmann.

It was closed in 1980 and was converted into a supermarket, in 2020 an Eaktiv Markt. The building is a Listed monument.
