Airdome

The Airdome opened adjoining the Madgett Block at W. Third Street and N. Lincoln Avenue in downtown Hastings, Nebraska, with a live play on May 30, 1910. After a season of live fare only, moving pictures were added bringing more children to the Airdome in its second and more prosperous season of 1911. Applause accompanied many of the movies. The fourth and final season of 1913 even had a number of sell-outs - impressive with the Airdome’s 1,500 seats. But the land proved too valuable for the partial-season venue which was sold in 1914, razed, and apparently used for a Philips 66 gasoline station.
