Grand Prix Theatre

This was the second location of a Grand Prix Adult Theatre in Southern California and opened December 13, 1972 with “Rip ‘em Up” and “A Matter of Taste”. The theatre’s opening was delayed when neighborhood groups protested its opening. The San Bernardino location also opened in 1972. Both had a policy of playing double-feature XXX films.

Owner Cleo Gross was disappointed when the area newspapers rejected adult theatre listings beginning in early Fall of 1977. It also makes it unclear when the theatre closed but it was replaced by a sales office, a gunsmith, and a carpet store.
