Airdome

The 1913 Sanborn shows a rather oddly arranged airdome operating on what had been a vacant lot in 1906.

The little tin-clad ‘machine booth’ was located against the western wall of the still extant building to the east, about halfway back from the street. The wooden stage ran diagonally across the NW corner of the property. A fence, set back from the street on the front, made a large square enclosure.

It is unclear where the entry was. There was a small wooden shack against the fence behind the stage, but this may have belonged to a neighboring property.

This was surely not a long-running operation, although the current building is of indeterminate age.
