Located on Paley Street (later renamed Teignmouth Street) in the Collyhurst district to the north east of Manchester city centre. The Central Picture House was opened by 1914 and was operated by the Collyhurst Theatre Co. Ltd. By 1922 it was the New Central Cinema operated by Emery & Wilkinson. It had a Tudor Revival style façade. Around 1930 it was equipped with a Picturedrome sound system. It was closed in May 1936, but was still listed in the 1937 edition of Kine Year Book.
