Regal Cinema

Located in Stonehouse, to the west of Stroud, Gloucestershire. The Old church hall was converted into the Cinema in 1933. It was equipped with a British Thomson-Houston(BTH) sound system. An Art Deco Style front was added to the building and it became the Regal Cinema, operated by A.J. Stratford. It had a short life as it was destroyed by a fire in 1936.

A.J. Stratford had a new 450-seat Regal Cinema built on Gloucester Road (which has its own page on Cinema Treasures).
