The Salon Gran Olimpia was opened in September 1943. It presented circus acts, boxing, flamenco, theatre, zarzuela and other various entertainments. On 16th July 1944, following it being equipped to operate as a cinema, it opened with Eleonor Powell in “Nacida para la Danza”(Born to Dance). It was closed on 3rd October 1948. It was demolished and government offices have been built on the site.
