Lorado Theatre

Located in Logan County. Owned an operated by the Lorado Coal Mining Company, possibly Lorain Coal & Dock Company, from which unincorporated Lorado’s name is derived from. It was located in a two story frame building above the company store and pay office. The Lorado Theatre was opened by 1927. Showed newsreels before the main features, and remained in operation until at least 1957, showing matinees every Saturday for a quarter including popcorn.
