Crystal Theatre

This theatre appears on the 1915 Sanborn, in the southern storefront of the Hocking Block, a two story brick-veneered frame building constructed sometime between 1894 and 1899. The 1905 map shows a music store located here.

According to information from the Wisconsin Historical Society, this was the first dedicated movie theatre in town when opened in 1910. It closed in 1935 still operating as a silent movie theatre. The building was demolished long ago. This corner currently is a gas station.
