The 150-seat Crystal Theatre was listed as (Closed) in the 1937 edition of Film Daily Yearbook. It had reopened by 1938. By 1941 it had been renamed Apache Theatre. By 1950 the seating capacity had been increased to 252. It was still open in 1952, but had closed by 1955.

The Apache Theatre was at 1600 Sudderth Drive. The building is now used for retail services.

Film Daily, Sept. 24, 1941: “E. C. Treib, 55, owner of the Capitan Theater, Roswell, and the Apache Theater at Ruidoso, N. M., was drowned in a flood while en route between these towns. Two employes, Pete Espinosa and Manual Chavez, in car with Treib are missing.”
