The 1950 Film Daily Year Book listed two Clarksville theatres, the larger Avalon Theatre and the Texas Theatre, 493 seats, which was located on the 100 block of W. Main Street.
Boxoffice reported six days later that a fast-moving fire on September 4, 1955 completely destroyed the “Texan” (sic?) Theatre “on the south side of the square” and damaged the Avalon Theatre. Cab Wolf owned both theatres.
