Sky-Vu Drive In was located just south of 34th St. between Pine and Hill. It’s proximity to the city dump caused some to nickname the experience as smellovision! The user Seattleprojectionist has mentioned the city dump in the comment section as well.
Historian Jack O'Donnell recalls that people would enter Sky-Vu by going south on Pine Street and then west on 34th Street. He created this map.
There were a lot more houses in the area back then than now.
