The Bayard Theatre appears to date from around World War II. It had definitely opened by 1950 and was still open into the 1960’s. It’s a simple structure, abandoned for many years, and decaying slowly in the dry climate.

According to information on other Silco listings, this was definitely still open in the mid-‘60s.
Boxoffice, Dec. 9, 1950: “H. D. McLoughan has bought the Bayard, Bayard, N. M., from O. K. Leonard.”
