Regent Cinema

Located just to the south of the intersection with Lambton Street and High Street in the city centre. The address given here is approximate. There is also little information on the Regent Cinema, as it was never featured in listings in Kine Year Books. Nor is it mentioned in the Frank Manders book “Cinemas of Gateshead”(1995).

It is however mentioned on the Tyne & Wear Heritage website with the following information: “The Regent Cinema is mentioned on the Ordnance Survey plan for 1919. It was demolished between 1954-1970”.

In 2022 Trinity Square Student Accommodation is located at the address given here.
