Located in Lemington-on-Tyne, to the west of Newcastle upon Tyne. The Picture Theatre was opened on 18th October 1911 by Marshal J. Rutter. In July 1922 it was taken over by John Graham, then in July 1924 Thomas Charlton, who was a local builder and funeral director. In March 1927, a renewal of the Cinematograph Licence was refused and the Picture Theatre was closed.

On 30th March 1927, Thomas Charlton submitted plans by architects Cackett & Burns Dick to rebuild the Picture Theatre, but these plans were never carried out. The vacant building was destroyed by a fire in 1933. In 1939 air raid shelters were built on the site.

Today Lemington Riverside Primary School stands on the site.
