Located on Worley Street at the junction with Longley Street(which no longer exists), in the Arthur’s Hill district to the west of the city centre. A conversion of St. Phillips Parochial Hall, the Imperial Picture Hall was opened on 10th August 1908. It was renamed Prince’s Picture Hall in February 1910, and in March 1910 it was renamed Crown Picture Hall. This name didn’t last long as on 17th October 1910 it was renamed St. Phillips Hall. In 1911 it was renamed Cosy Cinema.

From March 1913 it was renamed Stanhope Grand Cinema. It was closed as a silent cinema in 1931.
