The Home-Stead Drive-In opened in the unincorporated village of North Montpelier on July 28, 1950 with William Elliott in “The Last Bandit”.“ The Homestead was closed on September 5, 1965 with Yul Brynner in "Invitation to a Gunfighter” due to lack of patronage. Advertised shows for September 10-12, 1965 (“The Incredible Mr. Limpett” and “Bullet for a Badman”) were sadly scrapped.
