The Liberty Theatre opened in May 1917 in the space formerly occupied by the Palace Theatre and seated between 500 to 440 patrons. The Liberty Theatre first closed in 1930, shortly after upgrading to sound presentation. The building continued as a multipurpose event space up until at least 1950 when it was demolished.
