Public Hall

Located in Aberavon, a seaside district of Port Talbot. The Public Hall was in regular use as a theatre by 1884. Pantomimes were a very popular attraction. By 1915 it was screening films. By 1924 it was operated by W.J. Walters. It never converted to sound films and closed as a cinema around 1928.

It was converted into retail use for Olivers shoe shop and John Colliers tailors shop. It was demolished (probably) in the 1950’s or 1960’s.
