Located at the intersection of N. 25th Street and W. Allegheny Avenue in the West Allegheny district of Philadelphia. The West Allegheny Theatre was opened in early-1914. The architects were the General Construction Company who designed this single story brick & terra-cotta theatre. In later years it was renamed Allegheny Theatre (not to be confused with the Allegheny Theatre on Frankford Avenue which has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Allegheny Theatre was closed by the 1960’s and became a church. It has since been demolished and a laundromat has been built on the site.
