it became the police station and now is a new entertainment center
The State was on Court Street. See the MGM survey card from 1941, posted herein.
The State was in the Whittenton section. Most probably on Bay St. My mother went there and had mentioned it in passing. She was born in 1916 and lived on Lawrence St.
