There was a Liberty Theater in Plains in 1950. No opening date for the Llano is given, so it’s unknown as to whether the Liberty was an earlier incarnation or a different theater.

The original Theatre was the Liberty that opened in 1931. That is the building that was sestroyed by the fire.

This theater has been open continuously since about 1919, and my family currently runs it. It is only open on weekends, so if you are there on a weekday it would be closed. The only time it doesn’t show a movie is during the county fair, which is Labor Day weekend. The Llano theater shows a movie every weekend, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 8:00 pm, with matinees for all PG and G movies on Sundays at 3:00 pm. Admission prices are $5 for 13 and older, $4 for 12 and under.
