The Grand Cinema Lecourde was a neighbourhood cinema which opened on 15th October 1911 with 1,200 seats in orchestra and balcony levels. It was designed by architectural firm Moreau, Giraud & Delangle. It was closed at the beginning of the 1960’s when the seating capacity had been reduced to 950-seats.

The facade remained for many years, and it was easy to imagine that it was a former movie theatre. It has since been demolished and an apartment building with retail use at street level has been built on the site.
