The only movie I ever saw there was the 1967 “The Taming of the Shrew” with Taylor/Burton. It was an ‘okay’ drive-in, but because it was on the far northeast side of town, it took forever to get there! That was before the Loop was finished.

Approx. address for the drive-in was 2300 North Ash Ave. Freeway ramps run through most where the theatre stood.

The address listed on the heading is for the incorrect location, and is actually the address for the Lone Star/Country Club Drive-In.

The Corral Drive-In was at:
4010 Idalou Rd
Lubbock, TX 79403

The newspaper ad posted above by Don Lewis indicates the Corral Drive-In was located on Idalou Highway.

Opened with “Smoky” and “Romance of the fjords”. Mosty empty field, back end now occupied by Naomi Reagan Park.
